 Abbiamo dovuto abbattere la nostra palma di canapa ticinese perché questa specie neofita causa due problemi ambientali: sostituisce la flora forestale autoctona che protegge il suolo dall’erosione e indebolisce così la protezione naturale contro le frane. Inoltre, queste palme sono spesso colpite dal parassita Paysandisia archon, che minaccia anche altre specie di palme. Abbattendo la palma, contribuiamo a preservare la biodiversità locale e la salute delle palme autoctone.
Unsere Tessiner Hanfpalme mussten wir fällen, weil dieser Neophyt zwei Umweltprobleme verursacht: Sie verdrängt die einheimische, erosionsschützende Waldflora und schwächt so den natürlichen Schutz vor Hangrutschen. Außerdem sind diese Palmen oft vom Schädling Paysandisia archon befallen, der auch andere Palmenarten bedroht. Durch das Fällen helfen wir, die heimische Pflanzenvielfalt und gesunde Palmenbestände zu erhalten. Qualche anno dopo questa foto, da bambini giocavamo insieme in questa piazza. Aurelia Bergonzoli, geborene Zaccheo, und ihre Tochter Maria Bergonzoli auf der Piazza vor ihrem Haus im Jahr 1961. Zu jener Zeit führten die Frauen Bergonzoli sowohl die Osteria als auch später den Laden in diesem Haus, der heutigen "Casa della Piazzetta". Dorothee Dieterich, teologa, educatrice per adulti e supervisore, ha frequentato il corso preliminare presso la Schule für Gestaltung a Basilea nel 2009. Da allora ha approfondito le varie tecniche di stampa e di rilegatura. Da allora i corsi del Centro del bel libro Ascona l'hanno portata più e più volte in Ticino. È particolarmente interessata all'interazione tra parole e immagini e ai libri d'artista. Presso druckwerk Basel dirige il reparto di legatoria ed è team leader. Dorothee Dieterich, Theologin, Erwachsenenbildnerin, und Supervisorin, besuchte 2009 den berufsbegleitenden Vorkurs an der Schule für Gestaltung in Basel. Seither befasst sie sich vertieft mit verschiedenen Drucktechniken und Buchbinden. In den Tessin führten sie seither Kurse im Centro del bel libro Ascona. Speziell interessiert ist sie am Zusammenspiel von Wort und Bild, und Künstlerbüchern. Im druckwerk Basel leitet sie den Bereich Buchbinden und ist Teamleiterin. Sie arbeitet in Piodina vom 10. bis zum 28. Oktober. L'artista australiano-svizzera Lucinda Tanner ha scritto il seguente testo nel suo inglese nativo. Casa della Piazzetta is delighted to host you, Lucinda! Wir freuen uns über den vierten und in dieser Saison letzten Künstlerinnenaufenthalt im Atelier der Casa della Piazzetta. Annette Burrer ist beruflich als Sozialpädagogin unterwegs und seit 2015 auch im druckwerk Basel künstlerisch tätig. Ausbildung in Malerei am Kunstkolleg der VHS Freiburg i. Br. (D) von 2004-2009. Malen, Zeichnen und Handdruckgrafik stehen im Fokus ihres gestalterischen Schaffens. Annette Burrer ist hoch über dem Lago Maggiore auch mit Papier und Zeichenstiften draussen auf Wegen und an Berghängen anzutreffen.
www.annetteburrer-malerei.com Tami Komai, born in NYC, has resided in Basel since 1972 when she came to study graphic design at the Basel School for Design. Her Japanese heritage has influenced her way of perceiving, as has her „Western“ upbringing. A definite sense of design and order are apparent in the different areas of visual arts where she has been working: with paper in varied ways, her photography, color and her print work. Tami sees her residency in Piodina as a chance to loosen up and as a time to experiment with her relief prints. Accustomed to hand-pulled printing, working with the „Kniehebelpresse“ will be an experience obtaining a different print quality. It may also enable her to manipulate her hand-cut cardboard plates more spontaneously. With no holds barred she wants to see where she lands. www.tamikomai.ch
Currently printing: Caroline Erdmann from Basel, Switzerland. Caroline is working with the letterpress from July 8th until July 24th. We are delighted to see her great joy to experiment and her enthusiasm for the printing process.
Caroline Erdmann is an Art Teacher and a trained Expressive Arts Therapist. The arts inspire and accompany her both in her personal and professional life. She loves to play with different drawing and painting techniques and finds her inspirations in nature as well as by everyday life experiences. Through art she explores life and finds in illustration a perfect means to reflect on and share her stories. Instagram: @erdline. We are happy and excited to welcome the printmaking artist Lucinda Tanner in our printing art studio in Piodina, Brissago. She will be working in the recently reopened studio high above the lake from June 4th until June 11th 2022.
Lucinda Tanner is an Australian/Swiss printmaker currently living in Basel, Switzerland. Her large format woodblock prints are the culmination of more than 25 years of hand printing experience – from printing with indigenous Australians in the remote Tiwi Islands; to the hand printed production of fine fashion silks in Melbourne; to woodblock printing with an eye over the Venetian laguna. The privilege of having lived and worked in a number of cultures different to her own brings a wealth of cross cultural inspiration to her printmaking. www.lucindatanner.ch
